Start Over

And suddenly the world she was living in,
Burnt to the ground
Shattered glass lay in her path,
A path, full of blood

Shattered and broken were dreams,
Hope and hearts too,
Destroyed were not only homes,
Ravaged were souls too

Shaken from the inside,
Firm and calm from the out,
She walked barefoot on the road
Which how lead to nowhere

Bleeding with every step she took,
Her body almost numb to the pain,
Her heart almost as cold as ice

With this catastrophe came a chance,
An opportunity to start afresh,
Leave old memories behind and start over

And so, she did.
